This page exists so Grey Mirror can be cited accurately without an email exchange. Grey Mirror analyses a complete exported message history and reports patterns in initiation, reply timing, reciprocity, conflict and repair, with the supporting messages attached to each finding. It is a measurement tool: it does not diagnose abuse, deception or illness, it does not predict whether a relationship will last, and it makes no claim about anyone intent.
The figures most often wanted, each tied to the cohort it came from. Signal cohort: 29 de-duplicated histories, 4,600,611 messages, 20 accounts; 97.4% of messages carried no detectable emotional signal, and affection outnumbered explicit repair attempts by roughly 10.7 to 1. Conflict cohort: 44 histories, 2,994,932 messages; median escalation 195.3 events per 1,000 messages against 5.43 repair attempts and 4.31 apology attempts, with 28 histories pursuit-skewed, 10 withdrawal-skewed and 6 balanced, and only 5 repairing more often than they escalated. The two cohorts were built for different measures, may overlap, and must never be summed into a single total.
The limits travel with the numbers. Both cohorts are self-selected: these are histories uploaded by people who already had a question about the relationship, so the proportions describe the cohort and not relationships at large. There are no outcome labels, so nothing in the data speaks to whether any relationship survived. One reply-latency measure was withheld entirely because the direction split 9 to 13. The turning-point figures come from synthetic threads where the answer was known in advance, and the evidence-retrieval benchmark measures retrieval on a single artifact rather than classifier accuracy.
Everything above is reproducible from the published files: the full findings dataset, the master findings CSV, the data dictionary and the provenance audit are linked from the research pages, and the charts are available as 2160 by 2160 images.
