Why upload, participant confirmation, and the preview happen before payment

This preflight prevents a user from paying for an unreadable file or a report with reversed participants. The full-fidelity worker then builds one saved analysis. The locked response exposes four grounded findings while the server withholds the remaining report until the job entitlement is confirmed.

How the one-time checkout is tied to a report

The browser requests checkout with a report ID, but the server verifies ownership, status, participant mapping, configured Stripe price, currency, and one-time billing mode. Stripe metadata carries the server-owned account and job identifiers into the signed webhook.

After payment, the signed webhook unlocks the already-built full report for that job. A payment for one job does not unlock a different report, and an account subscription does not bypass the per-report requirement for new runs.

What happens if checkout is cancelled or analysis is interrupted

Cancelling Stripe checkout does not discard the validated upload or its four-finding preview. The report remains locked so the owner can reopen checkout from the reveal or recent runs.

If analysis is interrupted before the preview completes, no report is sold. After payment, the entitlement remains attached to the same job, so the owner is not asked to buy that report again. Billing questions can be sent to support@justlay.me.
